Today, we harvested our first produce of the growing season which was several quarts of strawberries. Normally, we are harvesting leafy greens such as spinach or lettuce mix before strawberries, but this season has not been normal!

These are the Junebearing variety “Jewel”.  They taste as good as they look.  We only have a few quarts on hand, but their production will ramp up over the next 3-4 weeks,  and they will become available at the markets and CSA shares starting next week!
