When we start our seeds

It’s getting very close to seed starting time here in USDA zone 5.  We use May 25 for the start of the frost-free date for this part of North Central Ohio.  With that date in mind, here is our seed starting schedule for crops that are common transplants:

The 2014 seeds from Fedco and Johnny’s have arrived:

The really large packets are green beans and peas.  The other large packets are sweet corn, radishes, spinach, and beets.  We’ll be starting our first seeds (onions) in February!

Viewing stats from the website

We intended this blog to be informational and handy for local customers and growers, but after looking at the website stats provided by wordpress, we’ve also managed to pick up some international followers as well!  In addition to views from within the United States, we’ve also had viewers from Canada, Australia, Brazil, Germany, Egypt, and the United Kingdom!  Thanks for the interest!
